BIG DOG PARTS! FROM BIGDOG

hey i just got off the phone with a big dog dealership, they are telling me that they are going to still be making and having parts for these bad boys.. on my long journey trying to figure out what im going to do about my lil EHC problem, they tell me they are making a new and improved EHC with a fuse box BEFORE anything can wreck the main brain, they tell me it should be rolling out in about 3 weeks for the low low price of 625 bucks! anybody else hear of this??? im just a lil leary about having to rewire the whole bike.. and/or does anyone have a EHC they wanna get rid of for a 07 chopper??

ummm, yes.....

search PDM; several us already have one, and many have the wire plus. some have EHC's for sale, try searching around here and find old threads on it.

you missed the discussion by about a month and a half. this is where BDM went,
BDM Performance Products | A Better Big Dog Motorcycles Parts Provider , and this is what you need to do,
| | LOW DOWN CHOP SHOP | Big, Parts, Dog, New, Custom*-*Low Down Chop Shop (wire plus)

something else you really need to do is to sit down for a few hours and read through the old threads. OK, a few days, well maybe a few weeks.

ok some of you guys are ^@#$%@$&^!!!! lol, i wish i had time to look at all these forums!!i neeeeed something now!! and i am gonna try and look thanks for the help!

It's a easy fix and there are alot discussions on this forum and they're easy to find but I would just put a wire plus on and be done .And everyone would agree.

I understand man, time wise it's according how good you are with electronics but even if you are it will take you a weekend to get it installed properly.

Lowdown pro you have a sense of humor so that good. You'll fit in good here. As far as the EHC i don't think I'd be in a hurry to go buy another. How many miles on the bike? Unless your having problems already it's wasted money. Really wasted money anyway. If it gets to the point of needing one there are other options WiresPlus or BDM's PDM. Did you just buy this K9? Guess I missed you coming aboard. Do a search, read some threads and hit some of the preventive maintenance up first. Ride it, enjoy it this summer and see where your at.

Here read all these. There's a test in the morning.

ok...... i just bought the bike, everything was fine except for the speedo.. it would go in and out and when i was doing 35 miles an hour the speedo said i was doing 70! lol the speedo says 20,000 miles?? i put a trickle charger on it, but left it on the JUMP position (dumbassness) i know! after that no headlights, breaklights and only the front right turn sig...but after checkin everything i come to realize it is the EHC.. but yhea... drove it all day TWICE!!!!! lol, so im lookin to throw one in to get me riding till i have a little time to put the wire plus in

Buy the wire plus I put one in my Bull Dog if my wifes K-9 ehc goes I put one in that do your self a favor soder all the wires to plug connections so they do not come out later it takes a little longer but well worth it also check each wire make sure its the right one it tells you how to do that in the instructions. It took me about a day and a couple hours. just take your time do what wire plus tells you. read the instructions a few times through. I give wire plus a 11 out of 10 for being dependable Thanks Buster

When I did my wire plus it took a few days to round up the fuses and stuff. But the actual install took 9-1/2 hours straight through. When I was finished I could not see anymore but I checked everything out and took a short ride. The next day I did 250 miles and never looked back. Sooner or later the wire plus will be your only reliable solution.
