Interesting, I bought this one->Xelement Excursion Tail Bag - LeatherUp.com which is simular, and looking at it i was wondering what I would do with all that space..lol

I haven't actually used it yet thought.
That one looks fairly similar. Has extra pockets on the two sides.

I'm sure once you start loading shit in it will fill up fast. Rain Gear and Chaps take up a good amount of space. I usually bring a small socket set, allen wrenches, tire repair kit, and 2 small adjustable wrenches in case you have to make a clutch adj on the fly. I've never needed the tools but used the patch kit on this trip.

In that front pocket, the Saddlemen bag comes with a pad that is supposed to be mounted for the passenger to use as a back rest pad if the bag was on the luggage rack. For this trip I stuck the pad in that front pocket and I was able to use that for something soft to lean on :2thumbs:

Looked like a great trip. I do miss riding Texas this time of year. My mom said it reached 92 the other day. I just cant handle the summers there anymore. I'll stick with the 80 degree highs in the summer here in Washington State. I do miss the scenery there though. Thanks for taking us along on your trip... :D :2thumbs:

I wish it was a nail or a screw. I would have been able to plug it and limp home was only 15 more miles, I managed to plug the slice with 2 plugs enough to get off the highway I knew it wasn't going to last long hole was too Damn big.

Waited for the tow for 2 hours in Rush Hour traffic! Basically just reminded me I need to buy a trailer, could have had a friend run to my house and come and get me. My neighbor only has an 8 foot trailer I don't think I can make it fit.

I drank with a couple other guys riding Harleys in Terlingua they came down from Odessa they saw me roll into the one gas station in town and my bike had a layer of west Texas dirt on it they were floored when I had said I did 600 miles to Alpine on Friday and another 200 to big Bend and around on Saturday. They ended up staying an extra day because the guy riding a street glide said his back hurt The younger guy said this guy just rode 800 miles in 2 days on a chopper! They only had 300 miles on Friday and none on Saturday they only had 300 to home!

We were riding the same road out of town, I very politely declined their offer to ride them! I actually wanted to get somewhere.

It was very cool down in Big Bend actually much more than I expected. It got a lot hotter once I got back to the flat West Texas.

This was a great ride and I'm looking forward to doing it again!
