Make sure you have a good battery as suggested above, make it sure it's charged before you ride. Keep an eye on the battery terminal bolts. Make sure they're tight before each ride.

so if i put a fuse between the batery and EHC i could probably save the module from be fried and put a good voltage regulator and a good batery i can mantain the good health of the electrical system and what fuse did you put between the battery and EHC is the 40 A fuse?

The new EHC's that are out, are using a 5 amp fure there. I don't know what rating of fuse would be used on the original EHC.

They did have issues with some of the early EHC units catching fire and burning up, mine started smoking like a chimney and was replaced under warranty. Lucky for me I had a 10 MM wrench in my vest to disconnect the battery or I might have lost the bike.
I remember the Quality Manager telling me that only a select series of EHC's had this problem and Bigdog was replacing those units.
That 10 mm is still in my vest.

A friend of mine had a 04 Mastiff, he was the only reason I even knew about Big Dog motorcycles honestly. Well his 04 caught fire in his garage after a day of riding. The ECH supposedly was the cause of the fire. He lost his bike and his house, from my understanding Big dog replaced his bike, and his auto insurance paid on the damage to the house. But he sold the new Big Dog shortly after it was delivered. But the 04 EHC is different than the 05 newer.

My Bulldog is a 05 model and had the new and so they thought improved EHC, the first round of the new 05 EHC units had problems.
