Big Dog K9 will not start

I started my (new to me) big dog today to take it on its virgin ride and to get it inspected, licensed and titled. I let it run for about 5 minutes and pulled out of the garage and the mail carrier pulled in to check it out. Tried starting it after that and flooded and ran the battery down. Put a charger on it and rolled over a couple of times but never would fire. In the process I laid the bike over on top of myself and thank goodness it was in top of me but the bike never touched the ground. My buddy got it off of me and now all the bike will do is make a clicking sound when I try to start it. My buddy byrddog come over on his bike and we put his battery on mine and it still made the same clicking noise. It sounds like its clicking on the left side of the bike if you were sitting on it where the spark plugs run up into. I am not a motorhead and I have no idea what it might be. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any information!

change your plugs................guaranteed you've fouled them. Make sure you didn't pull one of the plug wires loose from the coil.

and put the battery on a trickle charger, 2amps or less

Never use the enricher, if you're not on the dog then the battery tender should be. Only stab the throttle 3 times before turining it over and I'd never let my dog idle for 5 minutes before I ride ain't got that much patience.

Good Sound Advise. A great fresh battery is also the key to a good start pattern! New to you may not be new to the bike.

Stand on the starter button til it starts, may take 5 seconds, this is not a small motor. Make sure trickle charger is topped off.

:zz2cents:all good advise, the clicking could be your starter but if its up high it could be your compression releases.the idling for 5 minutes wont hurt as much as not warming the bike up alittle,if you roll the throttle to much when cold you could kiss your head gaskets good bye,i warm it just til i feel the cylinders warm, just sayen

When you hit the start button it clicks there's no start to it. It ran earlier today and now click, click, click???

We put my battery on it and click, click, so it's not the battery.
