Anyone have any ideas how to improve the ride on my 07 mastiff
Gotta agree with ya on that!Take a pitbull for a ride then yours!.... Seriously tho what's the issue?
Drop the pressure in the rear tire just a LITTLE bit, but not too much.I think a softer seat would help. Do you ride a mastiff?
Don't get too carried away and go too awful low. Just enough to smooth out the ride. Thanks guys. I will play with the air pressure
You should have adjustable shocks.Anyone have any ideas how to improve the ride on my 07 mastiff
What do you weigh? I am 175 and find my mastiff very comfortable, better ride than my AIH or my wife's HD . Welcome to the forum by the way.. Intro? Thanks guys. I will play with the air pressure
ok, what's the difference in the shocks, I have to replace mine when I get home35 psi front and rear, the recommended 40 was not necessary for me as I only weigh about 160 and rode solo most of the time. But the real improvement came when I installed Progressive shocks. Huge difference from stock.
If someone has the part # that fits a K9 that be great. I like the remote should be able to find room under the seat for it.Crawl under your bike and have a look at your shocks, then log on to the Progressive website and check out the various products they offer. The progressive units are a lot heavier duty, and are adjustable for the rider's weight. In my opinion, a lot of the aftermarket stuff that BD bolted on our bikes was pretty much top shelf, but I think they skimped a little bit when it came to the shocks. Also, mine were about 10 years old when I replaced them, so I'm sure they just had some wear on them, in addition to being "cheapo" units. There was a night and day difference in ride comfort for me. I would also suggest you opt for the shocks with a remote adjustable preload; it makes adjustment incredibly easy. One setting for your solo riding, and when your fat ol' lady insists on riding with you, another setting with the simple twist of a knob.

That's the SAS system ...I don't believe that fits unfortunately. Awhile back I asked around on the forum, I think back then fitment was confirmed it didn't work.
