Going to sell my 07 Bulldog EFI, and would like group opinion on best time to sell. Here in the Northeast, it usually stops snowing in June (or at least seems like) so really only 3 months to sell. Was going to put on Cycletrader, and see if maybe some interest in the south or southwest, but do people ship bikes?

Patrick, are you the original owner. Just curious. Mine was a new purchase and is a hard thing to let go for less than half the new price. I'm still missing it even though I had just about quit riding it.good luck.

God luck. I'm in Fl and can't sell mine. Had it on CL now for about 6 weeks and keep lowering the price. No takers not even a call. I'm not going to give it away so I may have it for awhile.

The only way to sell it this time of year is to give it away. I'd say the best time is right after the weather has been good enough for people to see bikes out or have buddy's that went riding a few times. So in Cincinnati that would be April or May to get top dollar. That's always when my interest got peaked to upgrade or buy a bike again was after my friends started doing trips, or going to bike night.

Being in Texas and knowing a few that deal in buying and selling bikes I would have to say just after the first of the year when people are starting to get over the Christmas bills and getting tax refunds. Advertise nation wide and offer to help with shipping. We ride year round in the south so don't wait until the northern riding season to try to sell.

Mr P, Hope life finds you well! I am the second owner. Original bill of sale was $39k, and I paid about half of that. I have added about 4k worth of extras (new wiring, cone intake, new VH pipes, 2 up seat, windshield, cone intake, new led lights) and like everyone else i am just hoping for a fair price and not give it away. My wife wants to ride with me on some long trips and (GULP) have to probably get a HD electra glide something. My friend owns a HD dealership in town and the last big dog he had sat for over a year so he said don't trade it in. My other friend owns a INDIAN/Polaris Dealership here too, and he said the same thing, he lost money on the last one he took on trade.

I purchased a K9 last March and had it shipped across the country from Seattle, WA area to Northern, KY. After speaking with the shipping company driver when he delivered my bike, I had no idea how popular shipping motorcycles was. This company I used (Haulbikes) has 23 full time drivers that drive beautiful trucks with 53 foot double level trailers, and they only haul motorcycles. He told me they just ordered 11 more new trucks and trailers to keep up with demand and also told me they were one of the smaller motorcycle shipping companies out there. So, as you can see, motorcycle shipping is a booming business!

I purchased my bike two years ago in Ohio In Feburary. Hauled it home from Akron in an enclosed trailer in the snow. What sold me was the pic posted at the end of December on Craig's list.I thought it looked great. When advertising good pictures are worth a thousand words. Good luck.
