My two-bits on the seat - don't bother with the p-pad, just go straight with the two-up seat.

Like Raywood said, they are curved differently. My wife was so uncomfortable on the p-pad, even after relatively short rides, that she was reluctant to go. Now that we have the two-up seat, she has actually been bugging me about rides. :2thumbs:

Several of the other members have had the same experience.

BTW, if you do order a p-pad be clear with them which seat you have. The K-9's have been delivered with two different single-rider seats, and the pad is different for each.
I'm going to go with the 2-up seat.

got e-mail from Vickie yesterday. she beat the R & B Cycle's (Nashville store) prices by far!!! will be ordering from her tuesday afternoon.

P.S. Bubblehead go with the 2-up seat and a sissy bar. I have both seats and she like 2-up better. Dad has 12" sissy bar on his '05 chopper, we rode it now we are getting a sissy bar. i'm getting the 18", seen a few on here and they look good on a long bike (K-9,Chopper)

I sent Vickie an e-mail the other day.

I'm going with the 2-up seat, but I have been wondering about which sissy bar to go with. I think most chopper owners go with the 18", anyone have a picture of the 12" on a K-9/Chopper?

One consideration would be if you hang a bag on the back of it the bag will be bigger than the 12 in bar. I have the rather small T-Bag Baja and it's almost taller than the 18 in bar. Plus the 18 provides more support for the passenger!

Here's a closeup of the 18" sissy bar on my K-9. They are really beafy, and provide the passenger with a lot of security. Don't get the shorter one.

Here's a shot that shows it with Big Dog's T-Bag on the back. My wife likes to cram it full of all her stuff, like leather chaps, her electric jacket liner, etc. Even though it was a really nice day, by the time night fell it was so chilly she had to have it all on to keep from freezing.

By the way, be REALLY CAREFUL that any bags don't sag through the luggage rack - they will rub a hole right through your clear coat before you even notice! If you look closely, you will see that I don't even have it resting on the luggage rack at all, but suspended from the sissy bar.

Good to know. I have a T-Bag Tahoe and it's a larger bag.
