BDM Sissy bar measurements

I am am trying to decide if I should get the 12" sissy bar with backrest pad or the 18". I think I currently have the "shorty" The backrest pad is too low, directly above the seat.

Question for both the 12 and 18:.

What are the measurements from the top of the passenger pillon to bottom and top of backrest pad?
Total height from the top of the passenger pillon?

This information would help me in the decision process. Right now I am leaning towards the 12" but while searching it seems many people have gone from the 12" to the 18"

I wish I had more money.
Get the 18" if you can.
1. I think that the majority of folks think it looks better.
2. It gives more surface to lean on or to strap your gear down to. I don't know what you use for a bag but a couple two or three guys here use the trusty duffel bag and it appears to fit like a glove.

Bar Height

I think mine is the 18"...I bought it 2nd hand from one of the guys on here...I've got a 2-up seat vs. a pillion pad...I hang a bag on it for the longer trips...wife doesn't like the ride and is holding out for me to buy a touring bike...

Thanks for the picture that helps a lot. I do believe, BUT not positive that is the 12" sissy bar.

The one in the pic i the 12". I have the 18" on my K9... good to hung up the back-pack and the wife likes it.... but..... I just bought a 12" from Amylulu as I think the 12" does look better when riding solo.

One of each is required for those different occasions!
