I went on a day trip to the Big Dog 15th Anniversary Open House yesterday. My original intent in going was to meet alot of forum members but it seems that as soon as Ray was unable to attend, interest from other forum members left with him
.
Bless his heart, Airbrush-Ed tried to get a group together for lunch or dinner but rangling a group of bikers was a more difficult task than we thought!
I was going by myself so I didn't want alot of down time before dinner since it appeared that there weren't going to be members to hang out with so I decided to get there for the last part of the party. That was a bit of a mistake because it was wrapping up a couple hours before close. It looked a little ghost town by the time I got there. I spoke to Brian Ellis when I got there and he said that there were a couple other bike events in town that people were trying to hit but he said they had a good crowd earlier and it was just the right size they had hoped for.
Here's a few of the pics that I took:
Paint Booth:
Dusty Mudd Flap Girl:
A Little Power:
I like Big Butts...:
I can MAYBE afford the bike in the front!:
This Guy won 1st Place in the Chopper category (you can see how quiet the party is now behind him):
Check out the Maltese Cross Headlight (those are the test ride bikes behind him):
His granddaughter is holding his trophy in front of the Bagger:
I just loved the custom made trophies and got pics of all the ones that were still there:
I want a bar stool like this, it was sitting in the BDM store:
Afterward, Airbrush-Ed and his wife, Roaddawg and his wife, Night Train, and I all met up at a cute little bar down the street (excuse the girly adjectives!) called 'The Anchor'
Such a cool sign!:
Our little group (had to make sure to get the cool license plate shark light in there too):
Airbrush talk - Airbrush-Ed and Roaddawg looking over some pics of Ed's work:
Here I am watching Ed sketch out ideas for my bike paint. Woo hoo!:
Some of my dinner dates - Night Train, Roaddawg (modeling his cool helmet for us), and Roaddawg's lovely wife.:
My Favorite Airbrush Artist and his gorgeous better-half:
Ed, it was great to see you guys again! Thanks! It was nice to meet the rest of you!
Roaddawg, hope you guys make it home safe!
