I have a "friend" i guess you could say on facebook that is using the name "Big Dog Motorcycles". When I accepted his invite to join i was thinking it was a rep. from BIGDOG that is posting info on there. Today there are postings on his site that shows 16 Big Dogs SOLD today so far,from the pics he has posted they are all from the same dealer or company or something. My question is....I thought there was a BIG problem at BigDog and they have laid quite a few people off in the last year because of the economy and sales. To me if I'm selling 16 Dogs at 30k from one dealer,and sales are like that at every dealer, I would be pretty happy, so then why the layoff or problems??? Or is this guy, that is representing BigDog Motorcycles on Facebook a crackhead?:loony:

I belong to their Facebook page and the one I go to looks legit to me. It does not speak of any one particular Dealer. When peole inquire about finding a Bike they give them the closest dealer to where they reside. If you go under their info page on Facebook profile it directs you to the BDM websight. Guess their can be more than one person using that name just as their are hundreds or thousands of people using any one name. type in John smith and look at how many thousands of users have that name, its not like AOL where 2 people cant have the same user name.

Brian Ellis works the sales floor at the factory and he's also the man behind their Facebook page.

I noticed him posting those sold bikes today too, but I'm not sure of the time frame of the sales, could be over a longer period than it appears.

Bike sales go up in Spring too.

I believe it to be legit. As BB said the time frame doesn't mean all sold this week. They do have a home site on Facebook and post stuff up fairly often.

You can go on Big Dog's corporate website and at the bottom is a link for their "FaceBook" page...it's a "read only" unless you're a FaceBook member (ie - you cannot post anything on there otherwsie, but you can read and see pics).

BDM is doing alot better and getting ready to bring people back because of over seas sales. That is what Five Five told me as he just toured the factory and the employees were very upbeat.
