BDM not starting

Just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem. This has happened to me twice so far. Been on my scooter and stop some where and then it wont start. I mean I have no electrical power to start it. I turn the key on, the speedometer does its thing. Running lights come on but when I hit the starter, nothing. Also the horn doesn’t work, turn signals don’t work, head light doesn’t come on. The only thing that does come on are the front and rear running light. I can let it sit for several hours turn the key on. Head light comes on, turn signals work, horn works and of course it will start. Talked to the mechanic and he tells me that as long as its starting he doesn’t know what to do, that I’m going to have to wait until I can get it to him with the problem happening. I’ve looked and looked for some kind of short or loose connection and cant find a thing any where. So just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem? :bang:

Definately start by looking for faulty wiring and loose or chaffed wires. Check your ground also.

Could it be the battery? Maybe after sitting for awhile the battery charges itself back up??

I had the same problem when I first got my dawg, it ended up being chaffed wires, and my ignition........ good luck

I'm with Moe on this. When you get that many different faults, it's usually the EHC. A bad battery wouldn't just charge itself back up and make everything work a few hours later. It may gain a slight charge, but not that much. Make sure your connection to your EHC is filled with dielectric grease and has and snug, secure connection. Also, be sure to check the indicator lights on your EHC next time it screws up.
