Loose as in how? I added 2 locking washers on mine, Had that problem when I first got the bike. No more problems since.

I use internal lock washers for something like that.

Al, a 10mm wrench is your best friend. I check mine weekly. You HAVE to do it with all the electrical problems these bikes seem to have i.e. battery, starter, EHC or whatever. You have to have that full charge.
Another thought is;
Are your terminals on top of the battery or on the side? BDM says not to use the side terminals but I have found and experience
broken terminals from the top mounted wires due to the seat pressing down on them. Up and down over and over will break the copper terminals eventually.My dealer set them up for me on the side of the battery and no more problems cept for coming loose.

NO LOCTITE! I do use syth conductive grease and split washers (ya, someone's gonna whine about the split washers, but I like having positive presure on the bolt). I still get some movement after a few hundred miles, but like Ray says, they just gotta be checked every so often.

Thats sounds like a good idea or just double nut!! You jam lock with the second nut.

Al you need to come over one weekend and we will go over the bike front to back in my shop. Did you get the clutch adjusted yet??
