Banging my head against the wall

My 03 chop is in the shop and we are all lost. When I parked the bike for the winter, it ran fine. I went to start it this spring and it will not even try and turn over. If the rear brake is pressed, it will start and runs fine. As soon as you let it go, the bike dies and all power is gone. It was wp381 installed. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Supposed to leave tomorrow for Laconia....

Appears the rear caliper is somehow completing a ground. If it is against the wheel, the bike has power....weird because the wheel is aluminum. Turns out somehow the thunder heart was grounding out there???? Grounded it directly to the battery and it is working fine. Weird.... Anyone ever hear of this?

Somehow I lost a pin in the JST connector for my thunder heart. It was the ground it wouldn't start. I ran a ground from thunder heart to the battery directly and she fired up.

I had just replaced the battery when it happened to me, which threw me off big time. I had not left any grounds off to my knowledge.
