Bandit clutch concern: SQUEAK

Energy One
Hey gang,

I've had a professional shop install the Bandit clutch, But just like the old clutch it squeaks over the engine. (this can't be good, ive a very loud set of grumpie's twisted sister pipes)

Here's what i'm noticing. When i pull in the clutch level it squeaks, when i let it out . i'm fine. It's the the point every time i come to a crawl or stop at lights it's dead embarrassing .

Ive sprayed some lube down the clutch cables . NOte, man the lever is very hard to pull in. I member reading bandit saying the level should BE EASIER now. That's so not the case for me.

Is this just a simple clutch adjustment now? any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Nothing like having a kickass bike but i can do without the squeaks.

Thanks Big dog owners.

Neil.

so is it a squeak directly related to the lever? Pull in hear a sqeek let out hear a squeek? or is it as your moving slowly with the clutch in you hear squeaking from the chaincase?

If its harder to pull then they probably put in too many shims
I run a 124 with a bandit. I weigh 300 lbs and I only needed 1 shim

117 with a bandit,1 shim, clutch lever pulls just as easy if not easier than the easy pull kit on newer bikes, definately no squeak whatsoever...If you had the squeak prior to install and still have sqeak after install I bet its fair to say its not the clutch....

2005 had problems with the clutch pushrod OD being a little oversized...it can rub the inside of the Main shaft...you can try removing it and putting a good quality bearing grade grease on it, then do all your adjustments...or order a new correct size from Baker....
You can verify if it's the new by removing the rod and checking to make sure it has a small grove machined at the end towards the throwout bearing.
Being an '05, the transmission most likely will have the old style Main shaft in it unless someone has already updated it...Just an FYI.
