Happy Valentines Day Sweethearts!

Question here,
2010 bagger. Installed the primary about 3 months ago w/less than 1000k miles. Ever heard of this cover plate snapping? My clutch was way too out of adjustment and the bike walked so a buddy of mine and myself started looking around. We came up with this originally, and secondly, the bike was too hot for clutch/tranny adjustment. We'll get there next week. How's Baker stand behind warranty?

Love "N" Hugs!

T the image path you have there is you own PC (http://c/Documents and Settings/tommy/Desktop) you figured out that doesn't work :D

You have to either upload your image(s) to a picture sight (flickr, photobucket etc...) then link to that site. If you do a search here you should be able to find instructions on how to add an image. Hope this helps.

Did you over torque the bolts? If not it looks like something wasn't flush and the part was pulled up against something uneven...

I had the Citrus Heights BDM buy/install it. Don the Doctor, is very prudent in the work he does. More like a surgeon rather than a mech. He's also one of the owners too so he likes to keep his customers happy...

Ask him if he shimmed your transmission before install. Critical if you have an outer bearing support.

You had yours installed by an approved Tech or Mech so they should stand behind their stuff. When I got mine I was told that if I installed it myself I would be on my own. They also told me not to chrome the bearing support or it would void my warranty. I did just that I installed it myself and chromed the outter support, I have had it for about 4 years now and not a problem.

Was it Chesty Puller that told his troops in Korea 'there's not enough Chinamen in the world to stop a Marine division from going wherever the hell they want'. I got that same sense from your comment. Love it.

Ringo, I noticed that Tommy had his installed by someone, did you install your own? If so, did the instructions mention pulley alignment and how important it is? I installed a Karata on my scoot and the instructions were specific on how to align the pulleys’ correctly which involved loosening the trans to get proper pulley alignment. Just saying, Moe mentioned it earlier on in this thread. I hope those that have their drives installed by a service center will remind them of alignment requirements, so it doesn't happen to anyone else...

I have no idea who installed mine, it was on the bike when I bought it, but Yes the instructions clearly state all that you mention. Not sure this indicates misalignment.
If you look at the size of that part and the way its held on with just two screws, its going to constantly vibrate right at that spot, fatiguing it to failure. I think those inside radius's at the cut-outs should be larger putting more meat in those areas.
