Backfire and carb sneeze when cold???

Just wanted to bounce this off a few of you guys and see what you think.

My 06 Chopper has ran great but now since pulling it out this spring, I’ve noticed that when it’s cold it back fires a lot more then it use to. It always backfired some but no big deal.

It also will sneeze through the carb on occasion when it’s cold and being off and on the throttle. These issues really only seem to surface when it’s cold and it goes away when it’s warmed up. Not a big deal but, it never use to do this at all.

I’ve done a few searches and I’m wondering if maybe I have the start of an intake leak?

Any other thoughts on the matter????

Thanks

Run some Seafoam through the gas tank.

Could be the old fuel has started to plug up some jets and has changed the carb mix to a leaner mixture causing more than usual backfiring.

MIne did this this year and the exhaust flanges were becoming loose. Tightened back up and it seems better. I like the double nut idea.
