back fire through carb

Hey everyone, been a long winter so just getting the bike back out. Question? Both times I just recently went for a ride I would get a random back fire through the carb, bike dies -- then starts back up. Question: would the old gas from last fall make that happen ?? It wasn't doing this last fall. I did bleed the gas off the carb before winter. What do ya think?? Thanx ya all

I get that every once in a while. It's only killed the engine once. I usually get a little puff out of the carb and the bike keeps chugging along. I'd be interested to know why it happens too.

drain it,put new gas in and see what happens,bad ga can cause bad running or even no run,just sayn

mines done that before and did the chugging sound with a puff of smoke out of the carb. Don't know what caused it. It never did it again.

quit farting next to the air cleaner while the bike is running...... bad gas dosent go down well.... you would cough & spudder to.....:lol:
