Assistance in identifying a part

I need assistance in identifying a part the dealer that I got my ’08 Mastiff from had a bag ‘o’ parts mostly reflectors and lens covers for the lights. But since I was enjoying the April snow in Southern Wisconsin and not riding I went through the bag and found the item pictured below.
I am puzzled to what the heck this is.
It measures approx 5” x6” it has a plastic lip on one end and in the center a mesh area and on one side 2 male snaps.

Looks like a removeable "ear liner" from a 1/2 helmet. If that is what it is, do you have the other side?
