Are these products safe for new paint ?

I've been using these two products for the paint on my Honda Fury (please excuse those 2 words) for the last year and have had phenomenal results. The question that I have is are they okay to use on fresh paint that is roughly 3-4 weeks old for my fenders, tank, and side covers ? A friend at work mentioned that it is good to wait several months or even longer for paint to fully cure before you apply any kind of polishes or detail spray. The bike is really dirty and I'd like to clean her up.

Yep, that shit will strip your paint right down to the metal! Just kidding, not sure about that Honda shit but the detailer sould be ok. Airbrush Ed would be able to answer this question better then me. ED?

That honda polish is the shit. I use it on everything. Just make sure you get it all off...if it stays on anything (overspray) it kinda turns white and looks like crap later. You won't see the spray for a few hours then you'll see it everywhere later. So, spray it on the micro towel then wipe on and use a clean dry micro to wipe off. I use it on sunglasses, cell phone, stainless appliances, computer screen, tv screen etc. It puts a very smooth layer of protection on just about anything!

The other stuff is pretty much just water with some polymer additives, works ok, honda polish works the best I think!

When I had my sand rail airbrushed, the artist said no wax or polish of any kind for 12 months.

I would say if the new paint was applied and allowed to air dry, give it a month or so. If it was cleared and baked after it was painted, then you would be fine to wax right away.
I have the Honda wax and it is nice stuff, but I don't use it on my Fury, WTF just kidding

the Honda cleaner is really good..no streaks and softens those bugs up great..

Biker Babe sells STRIPPER JUICE that is almost the same thing...Just looks a lot cooler in your shop than the Honda polsh.

I've been using the Honda spray for 5 years, on both my '05, and now my '07.
It works great on all surfaces, and I notice it also repels dust, but as the others said if you've got new paint, no wax, and I was told three months.

Wash it first. Nothing worse than polishing dirt into your paint. But meguiars is great. I also like wet shine. Wax is really best, then minor polishing.
