I just got a 2003 Boxer and i am looking to put some 14" or 16" apes on it. Has anyone done this already? What size risers did you use? Cable length?

We just had this conversation a few weeks ago. There is a company called Burly that makes kits that have everything but the wiring extensions. The kits have the clutch cable, throttle cables, and brake line. You just pick the kit for the right size bars. They have kits that include the bars too. Since the boxer is a pro-street bike, I would think the kits "should" fit the same as a harley.
Remember, these kits use standard cables. You can use standard cables on an s&s carb, but you will need the adapter bracket.
The other thing you will run into is where/how to mount your speedo and indicator lights. They make mounts that mount to the risers that will fit the BDM 2 5/8" speedo, but the indicator lights may be a problem.

Switching from stock bars to Apes
I have a 2003 BD Chopper... what would I take to switch from the stock handlebar/speedo setup to mini-apes? Something like this.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just wanted to throw this out there. Br's Custom Bars built my apes. If you can't get something figured out, Bill might be able to build you something custom with a speedometer mount and indicator panel built into the bars. He is a great guy and a real wizard with that kind of stuff. Maybe send him your original bars so he knows what he needs to do.
