Hi,
Thanks for the responses on the crate storage. Has anyone ever
use Moisture dessicant such as silica gel pellets to absorb any
moisture in the air? Will it do any harm to the bike?

I've used desiccant in several moisture applications. I like the canned versions, but you can only use them in a changing environment (not always moist).

I put a pack in the speedo housing when I rebuilt it for the new face and another in the speedo housing (just in case)

With my experience with desiccant materials, if it’s not a sealed environment, you're probably wasting your time. The desiccant will absorb any moisture that is in the ambient air and basically render the desiccant useless. If you live in a high humidity environment and you want to store your bike in a low humidity environment, look into one of those big bubble things (CarCapsule: The Ultimate Car Cover ) that people put their bikes into and maybe a desiccant inside the bubble. But just sticking a desiccant can in a crate might not do the trick.

May look into a dehumidifier stick like goes in a gun safe, they make large models for gun rooms and their not priced to bad, that is if you have electricity available,
