Anyone put black pegs on your dog?

I'm going to keep the BDM fwd controls but want to switch out the pegs. Anyone have any pics of black pegs and/or grips mounted? Feel free to also post chrome add on's to. Show me what you got!!!

i put kury pegs on my bike, however i had to use my custom clevis to do it. i have some if your interested. they allow you to use any aftermarket peg that will mount to a harley on your dog.

Sorry to jack this thread, but will I need the adapters on my 2003 dog to use HD pegs? I read once that the older Big Dog models are interchagable with Harley pegs, grips even foot controls? or any aftermarket for Harleys. I want more options than stock

You can get adapters to run HD standard sized pegs from cavracer (member here)

I believe the 03 is the same as HD but all you need to do is measure the slot, the HD pegs are around .450 and BD 04 and up are .630 +/- .005.

Only draw back I have seen about black anodized pegs is that they fade out and turn red. I have seen quite a few at Daytona and Sturgis that have faded and they look like dung! That is the only reason I have not bought black pegs and grips, other than that they are cool as hell.

Anodizing and Powdercoating is totally different. On pegs the powdercoat I would believe, would chip and get ragged up much like paint. Anodizing will hold up much better, but the darker colors will fade in direct sunlight over time.

:roll: :roll: :roll: Fractions are not applicable for all sizes when you are working in thousands so 1/8"=.125, 1/4"=.250, 1/2"=.500, 5/8"=.625, 3/4"=.750 etc.
