Anyone have suggestions on jetting?

I think I need to rejet the carb on my 2008 K9. Getting a lot of popping on deceleration, even letting up on the throttle a little bit.
Previous owner said that dealer rejetted the carb when they installed the spike air cleaner and Supertrap exhaust. I changed the air cleaner back to stock and installed V&H 2 into2 exhaust.
Not sure what jets are in the carb now but was wondering what suggestions you might have as to the sizes I need. Hopping to have the new jets before tearing apart the carb. If I have to know whats in there first I can take it apart and wait for the new jets but was thinking you guys could tell me what I might need.
I am running stock baffles and might buy Thunder Monster Baffles if that any makes any difference, also at 1000 ft elevation. Thanks for any info you can provide.

your going to have to look and see what jets are in the carb now before proceeding further.

Jim: Did it do the same thing when you had the Supertraps on it ? Because that is the same thing I am trying to get rid of on mine, is the popping every time I let off, dosent matter if I let off a little bit or quick, it just pops like hell. But my plugs are burning perfect so I hate to mess with the jets. Im at 500ft and have 31 n 76

Usually decel popping is a result of to lean on the intermediate jet, assuming no intake or exhaust leaks. I know you would think the oppsite but I have found this to be true. You can adjust the air fuel mixture screw to try and tune it out but the air fuel mixture screw needs to be between 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 turns, out side of that you need to re-jet the intermediate. Main jet really only affects high speed performance above 3500 rpms. You will be really lucky to get rid of all the decel popping with V&H 2X2. I am running
.033 & .078 with .048 air bleed jet and the boll vent plug removed. It will out run bad news now.

Someone posted this here a week or two ago for initial jetting from S&S.

S&S Super G (2 1/16" Carburetor) Initial Jetting Settings
Engine Size 88-93 CID
S&S Super G Idle Mixture 1 1/4 To 1 3/4 Turns
S&S Super G Intermediate Jet .0295 To .033
S&S Super G Main Jet .068 To .080

I can't remember the Supertraps popping like that. I only put maybe 25 miles on the bike with the Supertraps on it. MY plugs are burning perfect also that is why I am asking about jetting. Maybe I will try the S&S carb adjustment procedure.

JP Cycle has the whole set for I think $40. I'm running 32 and 78 with no pop at all. V&H 2 into 2, dual runner and 585, and it never ran as good as it does now with S&S carb adjustment procedure.

I had XXX carbs bore out my carb and install the power booster. He also modified the accelerator pump circuit for a smooth engine at around 2200 rpm. This really made a big difference on my stock engine. Something to think about. Reasonable price and excellent work. Contact xxxcarburetors.com
