I installed one this past summer. Very easy to install. The mounting bolt pattern is not the same, just use one factory mount hole and drill another. Easy!! I like the programming this unit has too. I could not see having to replace the rear loom on my bike. I guess the advantage to that would be increased water resistance. Axel/Curtis were great on any questions I had. Two year warranty is an advantage to the others. I'm a happy camper!!!
