Rode about 200 miles yesterday, without any problems. When I got home plugged the bike up to the battery charger/tender around 7:00 p.m. got up this morning around 8:00 a.m. went outside and bike was still charging???? Usually charges around 10 to 15 min and then switches to storgage... First time ever noticing this. What do you guy think the problem is??

I would check to make sure the connection on the battery was good, between both the tender and the wires that connect to the bike. How old is the battery? Last you can always take it to AutoZone and have them check to make sure your battery is good.

if i just take mine off the tender for a little bit to clean ,,,,then re connect it may take 1 or 2 hours to charge completely. if i ride then charge easily 6 hours. bike runs fine ...i think it has to do with the EHC

Like said above check connections and voltage when bike running. A friend has the same problem with his "Battery Tender" brand charger.

Dave had the same problem. Called deltran and they said its normal, even though it wasn't for him. He replaced the charger unit and it went back to the short 15-20 min time frame of recharging.

yeah Jason.....I called Deltran and the lady said it was normal...up to 48 hrs before tender switched to green....but I dropped my battery tender jr. a couple of times and didn't know if that messed it up so....I went ahead and bought the Battery Tender Plus(Thanks again Alhall) and after riding only 10 miles...within 15-20 min. it was blinking green.... mine would stay red for like 4-5 hours then flash green on the battery tender jr.

thanks guys for the info, but I think it's the battery. Took tender to dad's today and hooked it up to his bike(that was already on tender) in about 20 seconds switched over to storage. mine didn't do that in 24 hrs. Going to get a new speedo tomorrow will have them check to battery when I get over there. Thanks again for all the help guys
