.. any questions for S&S..?

I will be visiting tomorrow morning (while I am in the area), so now is the time to post a question you might have and I will present. There is nothing like a face-to-face meeting to discuss questions and answers. I have a 107" SA natural finish in my dog... I want to double check the build sheet for specifications... and ask about S&S exhaust options for that motor, since S&S now makes pipes. Also, for the SuperG carb, any additional info on adjustments. My mid and main jet size is 31/76 ... which is the 'standard' for jetting in that motor... 600 cam. I will also ask about the Super G that was 'modified' by Bob Maltz of Triple xXx carb fame so as to be 'adjustable' when needed for elevation changes... with out changing any jets.

Butch, I’d like to know their take on the ticking in these S&S heads. I stopped in at the s&s tent at Biketoberfest but forgot to ask that very question. Thanks, let me know.

117. All s&s. Don’t have the numbers available at the moment since the dog is stored off-site with my project in the garage:oops:

Could you also ask the same questions but for the 117 motor?

UPDATE: I did go to S&S in Viola WI, a town with no signal lights..... just a stop sign. No kidding. Anyway, I took a tour of the place and took some pics.... (I will share another time), and I spoke to the 'tech department' about the 'clicking' or 'ticking' noises that you have mentioned. I asked and they said there were no technical service bulletins... or any such thing, but that they would make one, of sorts, it needs to be 'exact' for publication. I asked them to do that, instead of me trying to relay and interpret and post on here what was said... during our conversation. So, I called yesterday to check up on this, and the tsb (technical service bulletin) is in the 'marketing' department for approval pending release to the public. I will stay on this...

Thanks for the follow up Butch. I would be very interested in reading the tsb. Some have tried to repair the ticking with no succes while others have found ways to decrease it. Hopefully it’s not hurting anything since I’m still riding.

OKAY..... I have a response: No comment.
That's right. They are backing out of what they agreed to....... according to the conversation I had with the tech department today.
