Any Nevada riders out there

I'm heading down to the Las Vegas Bike Fest on the 2nd of October. I'm wondering how the Nevada and Las Vegas cops are on helmets. I have a DOT helmet for my wife, but mine is a 1/2 helmet that is not DOT. Are they going to mess with me??? I've been told, that they won't mess with you unless they pull you over for something else..
Let me know?????

Also, is there anyplace on the strip that will accomidate a truck and a trailer.???

Most of my buddies ride with non dots and so far so good.

I've been to this Rally many times and never had an issue. Not like Laughlin!!
But my last time there (only seen this one time) at the (whats the name of the grounds?) place they have all the vendors they were pulling people over going through the gate coming out. Mines a DOT though.
