Any issues with snorkel intakes.?

I would like to add a tuned air induction (snorkel) to my motor... facing forward that has a 90degree bend. Has anyone had any issues of vibration, cracking, or unusual wear with this style of intake.? I know it is supposed to improve some low end torque.... while looking good, but I am looking for some advice on long term issues.

The S&S will not Dyno in correctly in the forward position. With the Mikuni, NO PROBLEM!!!!

I went to 3 Dyno 1 being Strokers and the other Ricky Farmer. When I went with the MB Mudusa’s everything went to shit on trying to tune the carb and when I put the cone on The closest we could get was with the cone vertical. Still had mid range drop then massive excelleration to the point it was dangerous. The bike would fall on its face then take off like a rocket. Strokers Service manager said he had tried everything. Ricky Farmer did the same thing with no luck that’s when he said “let’s try a Mikuni. It woke the damn bike up! I’ve never had this much power. Completely different bike! I’m so happy with the results

Hmm that's interesting I ordered the dual runner spike from wimmer the kit would include extra tuning parts for a super g carb but after Ryan wimmer investigated the xxx carb I have he said the extra parts were unnecessary maybe the xxx is more tunable
I have the xXx carb by Bob Maltz...... I will ask him. Thanks

I have the xXx carb by Bob Maltz...... I will ask him. Thanks
I just spoke with Bob, and he said that increasing mid-range jet might be needed... but just ride it as it is and check for any popping or sneezing... if so, then it is probably lean. I have a 107" and running a 31 mid and a 76 main.

Just dyno my 2008 k9 117 107 hp 113 foot pounds of torque putting in the 583 s&s cam taking compression to 10.5 any suggestions on a good aircleaner
