Just looking for someone who has knowledge of Big Dog's air ride suspension... :hi:
My compressor bracket broke... Picture below..

What would have caused this....
Im thinking the suspension was all the way down and then hit a big bump.. :bang:
I believe he took the rubber bumpers off so the bike would go lower...
I see the swing arm has a scrape on it from bottoming out...
My question is should i fix this bracket or should i fab up something new?
Or get one from Big Dog. :job:
Is this broken bracket from Big Dog?
ThX T-Mack :D :D :D

I just pulled the side cover off my 05 Bulldog and the compressor mounting bracket is part of the battery box.

I would have thought that the 05/06 PS would be the same.

Let me know if you need a pic.

Well the bracket was attached to the battery box. I just took apart to fix and to show you guys... It had 2 nuts and bolts holding it to the battery box...

Sure send me a pic please that would help allot.. Plus im curious to see if this bracket was made up or from Big Dog..
Thanks T-Mack

THX for pics. Mine is not set up like that at all. Actually mine was mounted underneath the battery tray but on the other side. (horizontal)
Yours is mounted vertical compared to mine...
Thanks for the help and the pictures...
Im wondering if the Bulldogs are mounted like that and the Mastiff's are mounted differently.. Can anyone answer that one? Are they mounted differently?

T Mack.
Check out this thread on my Air ride. That is a factory bracket... I am working with dial-up here in Laconia so the posting is REAL slow.... Maybe some helpfull photos..

WOW. That answers all of my questions... THANK YOU N8KAM :D
Now I know where to start, and finish. Great job documenting... Very Helpful.
Now I hope I can buy that bracket alone. Ill call Aaron on Monday.
Also looking into welding up broken bracket. I'm dropping it off to my buddy who is a Tool Maker at work. Have him and the welder look at it and see what they think. A good welder should be able to make as good as new or better. Well see, i'll keep ya posted. T-Mack :D

T Mack,
I put air ride on my 03 over the winter and had to fab my own bracket. I still have the original and I believe it looks just the like the one you have pictured. I'll check tonight and let you know. If it's the same and you still need one you can have it for the shipping cost. Good luck.

UpDate...

Well bike has been put back together.. :D
Like N8KAM suggested i relocated the solenoid so it would not get broken off...
Fixed up a couple of wires that had been chaffed... :D
I do seem to have a very small and slow leak in the air ride system...
Will have to search for that later... I cant wait to get her out for a ride just to make sure everything is A.O.K.

I did kind of scrape up the frame, putting in and taking out the battery tray..
Its under the seat and is on the bottom side of the frame, hardly noticeable. But I know it's there and that is even worse than you knowing!!!!
Should have taped it up...

This is the kind of thing I expect from fellow bikers, do a favor for a bro, that's what it's all about! I'm happy to see I'm not the only one not looking for profit from extra parts.
