another speedo question

Hey guys just bought a 03 chopper. The speedo doesnt work and was told the bd-140 will be direct fit. My question is my scooter doesnt have a tach but they do will this still work?

I can´t answer this right now but I do recall reading something similar as your case.... Standby, the guys with 04s and older will chime soon.

Not sure I totally understand, but I have an 03 Chopper and it has a speedo and a tach, and both work fine.

ahhh - now I see - the BD140 is a combo unit. My 03 has separate tach/speedo.

Well, BD140 does not include the "tach ring" nor the case. I don't remember whether the radius of the speedo is the same, but I would order a new speedo from Curtis, he knows that kind of shit.. Personally I do not see a point in having a tach in chopper. Have one in my -08, don't miss one in my -03. Just one more piece to cause troubles eventually.

All the BD speedos from 03 Up, excluding the Medallion of course, will fit your ride.
The only thing you will need to do is put a JST connector on your harness inside the speedo can as the older speedos had a long harness to run under the tank and the newer speedos have a short lead.

Will the tach lights work on an 03 or no? I'm not sure if the 03 Pitbull comes with a tach ring installed. Forgive my ignorance...
