Bead Scratches/Curb Scratches?

Viking, I must agree with Brew`s picture of a rim showing short, straight puncture type scratch damage and not showing any elongated marks evident of a tire mounting mechanism. The evidence is remarkedly clear that there is no marking along the vertical portion of the beadlock, leading the conclusion that there was contact by the outermost portion of the rim`s surface running along asphalt, roughened concrete, or possibly a slag type of pavment. The evidence shown in the photograph then evidently shows that this rim was run with a flat or deflated tire which had the bead, either one or both beads loosened. Bowhunter and Brew are absolutely Correct IMHO.

That is a awesome job of fixing that "road rash"!! If I ever have a blowout, I will have to find out how you did that.
