Anybody have one of these and if so, do they work? Are they worth the money?

I like my K9 seat, but it doesn't like me after about 100 miles or so..

If the Air Hawk works, it's a lot less money than a brand new seat for my style of riding.

It works. I use it on long trips on my 2008 Ridgeback and 2002 Bonneville America.

It has an elastic adjustable strap that you wrap around the seat and then put the seat back on the bike. It works great. I can ride forever with it. It will save your tail bone no matter what bike you ride.

Really, it is very comfortable for me when adjusted right. Plus, it has saved wear and tear on my tail bone.

Dakotabos, what didn't you like about it? Just curious, before I invest the money in one.
They say to not inflate 100%, but leave some room for bottoming out, etc..
Do you have their latest model, the Air Hawk 2?

Airhawk and Danny Gray have partnered up. They are working together to put the technology into the seat. The seats that they are working on now have 2 inflatable bladders that are installed into recesses in the foam. There is a bulb pump in the side that is used to inflate the bladders. I have been told that I can get this installed into any of the seats that I sell. Please feel free to contact me or the folks at Danny Gray (Danny Gray The Leader In Harley Davidson Custom Motorcycle Seats - Home Page) to get more information. It is a rather new product but I think that it sounds like a winner.

I've had my seat reworked with air bags to no help. I have tail bone arthritis and wonder if the air hawk will work?

Mine works great. The real key is not to overinflate. You only want to create a small cushion for air to travel under the seat which keeps your ass cool and helps eliminate assburn :lol:

Well, I purchased the airhawk 2 and found out overinflate is a relative word at best. My ass was sore when riding stock seat, so installed the airhawk and had a 190 mile ride the next day. I kept releasing air because now my tail bone was killing me. About the end of the ride I pumped that sucker up and felt alot better, unfortunately, bruised my tailbone. I then ordered a piece, that you can cutto fit, of foam and gel. Cut out a piece to insert into airhawk cover, ok but tailbone still sore. I then removed the gel and went back to the airhawk, with a section of the gel foam inserted in the but area only, and cut out a V for my tailbone, similiar to high end bicycle seats. Slipped it into the cover on top the airhawk cushion and this worked wonderful.

I just felt better on the dog without it. Put 20% 40% up to 80% air in it and just never felt right. Let me look around here for it. If I can find it in this remodeling job I am doing I could let you test ride it before you buy it or buy a new one.
I rode 1100 miles in a day without it so dont think i need it it was an impulse buy that I never liked. I have to quit doing that:bang:

Dakotabos I wouldn't mind to test ride it, and even eventually buy it from you if you don't need it anymore, I leave close to Albuquerque, how far are you from here.

OK, Here is how I use the Air Hawk. I do not use it on my crotch rocket Daytona 675. But, I do lay on the tank so my $$s doesn't get much pressure. On long trips, I hang my feet on top of the back pegs to get a change in position. On my Bonneville America, I use the Air Hawk for long trips. The same goes for my Ridgeback. In both cases, My %%s does not get tired. I like the option of using it or taking it off. I will use it for plus 1000 mile trips but anything around 400 miles I don't use it. It is a preventive idea and I like the option. Do I need it? I don't know. But I do know it works for me.
