I have, in fact the one that is on my Dog right now came from E-bay. I don't remember the site but they guys sells Adjure Headlight Buckets for less than on from Adjure. If there is supposed to be a flaw on mine, I was not able to see it so I didn't look for it.

The bucket is a little shorter in length as the stock BDM. Yes the HID will work, I have one in there. You also never have to worry about the outer ring falling off or getting stuck.

I wish I had more money.
What is so great about these buckets? I have read about tons of our members having them but why these over a stock unit I guess is my question?

That is a great question. I looked at the pictures and wasn't impressed when compared to the stock setup.

mobsta, just for you FYI back in when I had my 03 the headlight bucket was made by Tradewinds which is part of Headwinds. I think that BDM pretty much just copied there design and now makes them. But anyway Headwinds has some pretty good designs and if you join their mailing list you get emails on specials they run. They make lots of designs too.

I'll never get an Adjure headlight again!

I replaced my stock one a while ago with an Adjure that looked the same as the stock one. I liked the idea that the front ring does not screw on. It goes on by running a little rubbery tube thing up thru a groove that is in the bezel and bucket part. The problem I had was that it would all go together, then all would fall apart while riding, with the ring, spring thing and bulb all falling out. In talking with the manufacturer of this thing, he told me that the buckets that are of the visor type are difficult to tell if the rubbery thing is in correctly as it may slip in just fine, leaving you to think all is good, only to have it fall apart due to it missing the groove somehow.

After several attempts to get it right and never succeeding, and losing the headlight while riding, I threw the piece of crap away and got a Headwinds one.

Apparently others have not had this problem as there seem to be people out there that like them, but personally I had nothing but headaches with it. Other than the above mentioned problems, I have to admit though that it is a great looking product.

had one adjure bucket that broke at the base. Yea I bought a 4 1/2" from snappy. I couldn't find any imperfections. DOn't really like how the headlight ring holds the lens in... too sloppy but it works.
