Well, from what I take of it:

Seens how their website no longer has any motorcycle helmets and they are all "Kayak" helmets, but still look like the ones I bought, that they can't sell non DOT helmets any more labeled as motorcycle hemets and that they must be labeled as "Kayak Helmets"

hmmmmmm, maybe?

I think I'll just keep my two seens how I bought them to use in the Florida state that there is no helmet law and I bought them knowing that they did not meet DOT specs.

I like mine and don't want to give it up.

I've got an EXT004. Very interesting about the website though. Are the models listed their non-dot helmets?

Dot helmets are a voluntary compliance thing. If the manufacturer claims they are DOT compliant and carry the sticker, it is assumed they are compliant, untill someone decides to check them out.

If under inspection they fail the test, then they are no longer able to claim DOT compliance or wear the sticker.

Thanks!

Good Find! :2thumbs:

So I got the ext002 and no receipt. Well screw me. :bang:
V, it doesn't say that you need the receipt.
Look inside the helmet, there is a sticker that shows the Model #, the date of manufacture and the "name" of the manufacturer. If you want to turn it in, then just call them. No biggie! :2thumbs:

Thanks for the heads up considering I have two...

I haven't decided what to do yet although I can't help thinking I could get a "novelty" helmet a lot cheaper than I paid for the ACC helmets.

That, plus I don't think it's that comfortable anyway...
