A seat I did for a buddy of mine

image.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg I build and design custom street rod interiors mainly but I had a friend who call me a while back and wanted to combine two seats he had. It was a bit of a challenge because the seat he wanted to keep was done by another shop, the craftsmanship was average to put it nicely. So this is what we came up with as a combo of two seat skins. I used a piece of the factory one and re-fabbed and made a custom cover for the rest.

Couple car pics too ;)

wow that's incredible. Especially the Custom Rod work. The bike seats must be easy in comparison. I wish you were closer to me to do my car

Car seats look awesome!

Bike seat looks good too! Do you do the stitching as well or do you farm it out?

image.jpg image.jpg I do 110% of the work myself. My 15 yr old son helps me quite a bit. I get cars from all over the country. I get them as an empty shell and build every sq. inch by hand.

In my area I became know for the stitch quality in the French seams I do. Every street rod I build has French stitching on the seats and the custom consoles I build.

Here is a pic of a trunk I just did for a customers 55 Chevy. The other one is an interior pic prior to the seats going in.

Looks great, I think the stitching is phenomenal that's why I asked.

Is this just a hobby for you or primary business?

image.jpg Nope it's my bread and butter, I build on or two hot rods a year too I only take on complete builds when I have a gap in my yearly sched. Right now I'm building a 33 ford for a customer. I don't do many completes anymore just don't have the time. The completes I build the engines as well as all the fab. Not many build as much of a car as I do anymore (there's not $ in all the labor it takes to do em right) I loose my a$$ every time I build one from scratch that's why now I just design and build custom interiors. But I love all old cars any type of hot rod and enjoy doing them. So that's why I still do one or so a year. This is a pic of the 33 with a 388 sbc I built I also installed the heidts front end and boxed the frame in. Don't get this involved much anymore but sure is fun!! :)
