I have been reading about Saturday @ RG for years, what’s to organize, and why change and debate with anyone. We always had at least one meet up each Saturday of Bike Week. River Grille on US 1 in Ormond the second Saturday and the first Saturday we moved around. Sometimes we had a good crowd and other times hardly anyone showed up.
I personally passed on trying to organize it going forward. Got to be like herding cats. From the guys that want to plan meet ups on Main St to the ones that complain about the food.
I will be happy to show up when ever one is planned if Bike Week happens. Just pick a convenient place to meet, with good parking and room for the group. On a day and time that works and post it up.
Sorry but I don’t think Cracker Barrel is all that appealing to the biker crowd.A good place I might suggest that won't break the bank is the Cracker Barrel in Ormond Beach:
Breakfast in Ormond Beach, FL - Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Restaurant | Cracker Barrel | 364
It can be seen from I-95, it's just off exit 268 on I-95.
It has RV parking that can hold many bikes and has a menu that caters to all meal preferences, you can get any time of the day, they even serve beer now.![]()
What ever day all members that are actually coming will be here, at an available time that's convenient for all.
The biggest question is who here is going for sure...
And there you go...I have been reading about Saturday @ RG for years, what’s to organize, and why change and debate with anyone.
If they don’t like it or the food, your prerogative.
Awesome to see this post. Hope to see you at River Grille over Bike Week 2021.We always had at least one meet up each Saturday of Bike Week. So which Saturday are you figuring on a BigDog hookup at the River Grille on the Tomoka? 6th or 13th of March? That may help everyone decide a little better & help with planning.Let's not get panicky, as I said, people are getting the vaccine here, in two months it'll be no different than it is right now, people are going about their business here, unlike in some northern and west coast states.
Like with this past Biketoberfest, no matter what the political hacks on the Daytona Beach Council do, Ormond Beach will be operating like normal for Bike Week 2021.
I spoke to a few business owner friends of mine that have/had stores in Daytona, the city has no idea how much money they lost by not granting the permits this past October, money the business owners will never be able to recoup, some actually had to close...
