Just last week hit the 2500 milestone and took the dog in for service.  Pretty much the only issue worth mentioning  is the clutch.  More specifically, at around 1000 miles I had to take it in because of clutch creep.  The dealer determined the clutch hub nut had backed off and fixed it.  Well, by 2500 the creep was back.  This time I was advised that in fact there had been a service bulletin issued about "removal of an o-ring".  Anyhow, the clutch is back to normal now.
I also had some blue smoke coming out the pipe (very minor) early on and I attributed it to the fact that I used synthetic oil from day one. That issue seems to have pretty much gone away with the miles which I can only presume because the engine has been broken in...
That's it. Other than these items - knock on wood - the bike's been performing flawlessly...
