2006 K9 Clutch actuator question

My 2006 K9:
How does this clutch actuator work?
What are the benefits?
Is it a fairly easy install on the 2006 K9?
Will this eliminate the clutch cable?
I am afraid of breaking another cable and being stranded on some back road in Italy!!!!!

If you mean, use a liquid lever, no longer a cable? Big bucks if one is not made for this bike. You need:

1. A clutch master cylinder
2. A hydraulic line from the master to the clutch unit.
3. An actuator that has to be placed in the same area as the clutch push rod side is.

If you can get all those parts, the actuator being the main problem, then zip-tie a new clutch cable from one end of the frame to the other; you now have a spare. Forget about the actuator.

I'm not trying to say anything about this or that, but when you are on a chopper kind of looking bike? Real bikers don't puss up to a liquid lever. No offense.

If you have a heavy lever pull and you are breaking cables, then go with the BDM easy pull system. Lighter clutch lever pull equaling less stress on the clutch cable. This will increase the cable life significantly.

I saw this one also.. Biker Dream in Atlanta says they can get it for me, but if the hydraulic setup from DMC does the same thing I was looking for information on that.

SVEN,
here is the link. Hydraulic Clutch Actuator
They have the actuator. Thats what I was asking about. How this thing works etc...
As for the comment... no offense taken here... be it that I am a real biker or not, I do not like being stranded on the road in a foreign country!!! If i have the money to pay for a hydraulic setup, then thats what I am doing... Nobody looking at the bike will care.. When this dog is rolling I have never heard anyone say "oh wow.. he is a real biker because he does not have a liquid clutch"... Just saying!!
