2006 K-9 starter leaking oil

I talked to Gateway big dog today & they told me my only option was to buy a new starter for 450.00 . I was wondering if there is any other options or another place to buy a starter, Thank You for any help.

the only way for oil to get in the starter is through the output shaft seal going into the primary. if you change the starter without a new seal, you will end up in the same place before long. believe you could take the starter to a starter/alternator rebuild shop and they could clean/rebuild it for you for a whole lot less.. ($150+-)
