My brother bought a 2005 K9 and we are trying to import it to Canada. Transport Canada is asking that we provide a compliance label which would be attached to the bike when it was new. I have been trying to get a copy from Big Dog but have has no luck and no phone calls returned. Can anyone help please.
Thank you
Coral

'05 K9 does not exist.
'06 K9 has 4 bolts and a flat top on the rocker boxes. (TP)
'07 K9 and above will have 6 bolts and sculpted edges on the rocker boxes. (S&S)

As far as I am aware Big Dog Motorcycles never got the nod to get into Canada. So this compliance label probably doesn't exist.

Some guys have done some different steps to get it there.

If you do a quick search on the forum there's a few threads on the subject. But I bet @bdm7250 will offer you a little help soon he's one of our resident Canadian's and always likes to wear the cap!....haha

You are correct that it is inadmissible however with the right paper work you can import it! Just need to hunt it down.

unlike the "Ridgeback", which started life with a 250 and then went to a 300 and then ended up with a 330mm rear tire, the "Chopper" always had a 250mm and the "K9" always had a 300mm rear. and, the "K9" should NEVER be confused with the later model "K9250". completely different stepchild.
