Just wanted to throw this out there to see if there is any intested. I have a guy that I know who is selling a 2005 BD Ridgeback with WAY low miles on it. This guy had a relative who worked at the BD factory and he built the bike in 2008 (so it is titled as an 08' Custom) but is basically a stock 2005 ridgeback...but he put a 107ci S&S on it instead of the 117 since they had lots of trouble with the early 117s. The bike it jet black and basically brand new with 500-750 miles. I just traded off my 04 Pitbull, but am thinking abou this bike. Only thing is I got rid of the Pitbull to go overseas with my g/f. So if I buy this bike she will kill me. I have test riden it a few times and figured I would help them out on it. Give me a shout with questions. It is listed around $16,000 but may be able to get them down a bit. Thanks

what were the problems with the early 117?? and since it was built in 08 why not the 117 ?????????????????

I will get more details since I am just helping out here. Not trying to offend anyone (wyatt) but I had heard that when they first started using the 117 in 05 they had some problems...that was from the factory guys here in Wichita. The guy that actually built the bike was a factory tech as well. Regardless of what is better 117 or 107...the bike has a 107 on it. It was finally titled in 2008 so that was when the "build" was complete. So that is why the title will say 2008 custom.

I have a 2006 Ridgeback for sale for $13995. Thats near wholesale! You cant beat it. It only has 5600 miles on it, and is as nice as they come.

Just trying to help get the word out if someone was looking for a sharp bike. The bike is a custom that the BD tech built. So when a custom is built..it get titled when it is registered. So on paper...its a 2008 Custom bike. On the street...it is a stock 2005 BD Ridgeback with a 107ci.
Will get some pictures when I am back from Sturgis...if any of you are up there let me know and we can chat. Thanks Ride hard!!!
