I have been chasing a problem on my 04 chopper since last Sunday. Sometimes I get the red power light, after hitting the run button, on EHC and sometimes not. When the red power light does come on the bike will crank and start right up. Bike will run 15-20 seconds and die! Bike will just crank, not start, if red power light does not come on after hitting the run button. I just replaced the cam sensor this evening as well as the 30A circuit breaker. I am at a loss with chasing this problem. Symptom sound familiar to anyone? I have checked coil, plug spark, fuel etc. Need some help with this problem!

I have good spark at the plugs when it fires up or when it doesn't. I have a used EHC coming from one of our members after he installed wire plus, smart man! I have lubed the EHC as well as any connectors I have been looking at with dialectric grease. I'm wondering about the EHC though!

if you have spark when it runs and spark when it dosent sounds like fuel,in therory if you have spark, fuel and compression should run correct?

Mobsta, can't get any simpler than that. Air I got, fuel I'm getting, pulled the breather the other night and twist the throttle and she's spraying fine, spark looks strong. The thing that baffles me is it will fire right off and then just dies!

Ya know, I've been thing that but I hate getting into that throttle. I installed the cruze mate a little over a year ago and putting that assy back together was a bitch. I may have to take a deep breath this weekend and dive back into the throttle to look at the pcb connection. Sure wish I new a talented young lady with three small hands that i could call on to put the damn thing back together...

Yea I made damn sure everthing was clean after I did the cruze mate and before I buttoned it up. Washed everthing down with electro contact cleaner. I hope I'm missing something simple here. I'll keep plugging away at it until I fix it. It's not going to the shop! Mobsta, I appreciate you hanging with me on the problem. Calling it a day!

when you installed the cruise mate.. make sure no chips of metal made its way into the handcontrol board,, it maybe shorting out & shutting it off..
