no the clutch cable wouldnt do that.if it turns overand no start, pull the plugsand check for spark to the plugs,if there is no spark could be the cam sensor.make sure the petcock is open, just sayn

THanks 2 you all!! I had the bike out yesterday to Ride to Big Dog of Tampa and the thing Cut out 1 mile from my house and it is a 1 hour ride to Tampa. Pulled over to a jiffey lube and borrowed some tools. My buddy had a 06 ridged and he went to get that di-electric grease. I greased the hell out of the ground that was smoking on the battery and I rode all day with the bike running like a top... When we were cranking it the ground was smoking??? n Is that normal or do you think that grease could have fixed the problem??

Thanks again!!!!

Thanks again!!!!

The dielectric grease is an insulator and also helps disperse heat.
But I'd remove the grease and clean the hell out of the battery terminals and "both" ends of each cable. Then just add a light film of the dielectric grease afterwards. :2thumbs:

dead

Mob, I think I have it narrowed down. I replace the battery and the bike fires great. I stopped to get fuel and the bike would crank just no spark like the off button was stuck on. I kept hitting the handlebars then hit run and nothing... So I looked at the key to make sure it was on and it was. I hit run again and wouldnt even crank. Then I pushed off and then run again and it fired right up/. I think the switch is bad in the bars? Is it a hard job? Dou u think that is the problem??

Thanks Nick

yes it could be the board or just a loose connection.it is not a hard job but like i said becareful.if your not comfortable doing this you should have someone else do it.dont lose any parts.like said watch the wire for the brake switch and if you take it all the way apart watch the throttle cable furrels dont lose them.mobsta

when you say you have no spark are you checking for spark at the plugs or just assuming?if the stop button was stuck the bike shouldnt crank.just sayn

i would still check the board connection, did you ever pull the connector off the ehc and fill it with grease?if it were the cam sensor i would think the bike wold have to sit and kool for a bit, however there has been some problems with the cam sensor.
