Hi everyone!

I want to adjust the clutch on my 2004 Bulldog, it doesn't slip but it only catches at the very end of the lever travel.

I did'nt find anythin in the how-to section or on the Baker website, anyone knows how to proceed?

Thanks in advance!

We need someone to do a "How To" on the 04 RSD tranny. Maby barhopper can help you out with your unique system. Not sure how much difference there is with yours and the new DD6 the 05's and newer bikes use but I know there is some differences.

Turn in the cable adjustment all the way, so the lever falls to the grip. Pull your derby cover off the primary. Crack the locknut loose on the center adjustment screw. Turn the adjustment screw in until it lightly touchs then back 1/2 turn lock her down. Adjust your cable out until your free play is about the thickness of a dime.

Its really no different than the RSD besides that the adjustment is under the derby cover like so

Then the procedure is no different than the RSD version
http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/how/2025-how-adjust-your-clutch.html

But consider at least inspecting the throw out bearing on the right side and lubing the rod
http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/how/1432-clutch-pushrod-inspection-lubrication-how.html

They can end up like this

And being a cheap $5 part it needs to be replaced often if you ask me

Excellent info! Thanks a lot!

Will get to it this or next week end, will let you know how it goes...

BTW, does the throw out bearing have an equivalent HD or S&S part n°?

Would be great not having to order the part in the US...

Thanks!

yes sir your entire primary and clutch setup on the 04 is a HD setup. So the throw out bearing is a standard HD part number.
