I sure would be grateful, if someone would please assist with answers to a couple of questions. The bike runs great, and is in like new condition. However: 1) The on/off button on the right handlebar, won't turn the bike off. 2) The bright/dim button on the left handlebar does not work, but the turn signals and horn buttons do work. 3) The headlight is like a strobe light, the more throttle the faster the strobe light. At idle, hardly any headlight at all. I pulled the headlight out and all of the wiring/connector looks good. 4) When I turn off the motor cycle with the key, the oil light and turn signals stay dimly lit. Thanks in advance for any assistance! Mike

Before going too crazy, Big Dogs need a battery which is in tip top shape in order to be at it's best. If the bike is new to you have it load tested to see if you should replace it for preventive reasons.
When you are satisfied the battery is good make sure all your connections are clean and tight. Pull the connectors off your EHC and double-check that no wires/pins are pulled back. Clean the pins as best you can and replace the dielectric grease. The Ehc can do some crazy shit if the signals are weak. Check your headlamp bulb to make sure one of the filaments isn't burnt and recheck the ground. If the low beam is open the EHC will switch to the high beam which may account for the strobe effect but that should not happen. It should just stay on high beam.
The handle bar PCB's do go bad at times. They are repairable or certainly replaceable depending on your skill set and how messed up they may be. This tutorial is great for troubleshooting them. Change your boards in your hand controls. My friend has a ‘06 chopper and he had similar issues. We changed the boards and everything is good now. :cheers: :chopper:
