Broke yesterday do due vibrations ( Indiana country rodes). Does Vickie handle these or BDM.
What about getting mileage on new one to reflect old one.

What is the cost??

Should i get a tach??

Vickie might... but normally that is done thru a dealership warrenty.

I notice that yours is a 2003... out of warrenty. Call BDM support line 316-219-7070 Bob Lockwood is who I delt with, he was great! Further, sense they are well aware of the problem they might get you the parts for free. But you will have to fill out a milage statement form.

I did mine not to long ago and was told that a dealer had to send it back to BDM and they'll send the new one with your mileage set up in the new one. They can't send you anything to fix it yourself seeing that the mileage has to be programed into the new one.

Don't know if you need a tach, that is up to and your riding style. Your model year bike requires the separate mounted tach. Don't think the new combo speedo/tach will mate to your wiring harness without major wiring mods.

As for the speedo, you have to fill out a DMV claim with your mileage and send it in with it and they will program your new speedo to reflect your mileage.

Not sure what the cost is on a new speedo. But talked to Vickie last week and a tach will cost $365 and change. Give her a call.

Just got off the phone with BDM about replacement of my speedo. Just have to take it to a place where its an authorized dealer or to a place where DBM has authorized them to work on their bikes. Just happens to be two in the Cincinnati area. CINN Cincinnati Chopper and Miami Valley Cycles..:up:

Oscar from Miami Cycle stated that he has some diagnostic stuff shipiing from BDM today. Don't know what it means, software or an a attachement he can plug in. Will post to the entire group, when i find out..:up:
