2003 speedo question

I have a 2003 chopper and after a shitty and expensive wire plus install I decided to rewire the bike myself with a scooters performance wiring harness I have the harness in and everything is working except my speedo
I done away with my dash lights and have a question the speedo wasnt part of the harness
there is 2 plugs coming off the top of my tranny
one has a red green and black wire
and the other has 2 red wires
the speedo has red green and black also but when I connect the three matching wires I got nothing to my speedo
can anyone tell me what these go to and why my speedo dont work I thought the piece on the right side of the tranny was the speed sensor and the red and black were power and ground but not sure about these or the 2 red
and if I could find out where the neutral light comes from that would be great as its a PIA to get into neutral at times I can rig up a different light if possible since I broke the plug in that goes to the dash lights

The speed sensor for the speedometer should be on the right side of the transmission , it is held in by one small screw on a tab just forward of the sensor body.
The neutral sensor should be on the back top of the transmission mounted in the top cover.
