Truly it has electronic ignition.,if not
I recommend replacing the old point system with a modern system. Ultima makes a nice programmable system. I put it in my 04 Chopper Dt when the Thunder Heart ignition left me stranded. Crane HI 4 is very similar

If you bike is still stock it has a thunderheart cam sensor which is located in the nose cone on the foot brake pedal side of the bike and also with a thunderheart ignition module under the seat....these bikes dont have a point system...with that being said its if still stock its in the correct location if it hasnt been moved in either direction....thunderheart no longer makes the cam sensor plates but HDM still has a few as of a few weeks ago if yours is going bad or not working

Remove the nose cone on the engine by removing the two screws. Once it is off you’ll be able to see what type of ignition you have. I personally recommend removing the stock Thunderheart ignition and replace it with a modern singe fire system. S&S have great how to videos that will walk you thru the entire process.
