Well....double and tripled check all connections all fine...battery is 13v...borrowed a working EHC from a friend and still no lights, no headlight nothing at all??? Removed the tank and all looks good...will take a better look in the morning. Does anyone have or recommend a step by step guide on looking for electrical issues. Start with battery, ok. Then what do i do next. I was thinking key switch. From there I dont know where else power is suppose to go or what to check next.:bang:

1. I would ride it for a few miles and it would die out, jump start and down the road a few miles and die. Went overseas to work for a year came back bought new battery. Drove it from my friends house to mine, 13 miles, and a few blocks away it died, took longer than normal to jump start but got it going and made it home. So something is wrong stator/vr.

2. On that drive home when it died the 4 inch fuel hose that goes i assume from one side of the tank to the other started leaking. Like i said, jumped it made it home. Replaced hose, put battery on tender and a couple weeks later hooked it all up and now no power. Battery is fine. No lights or lights on EHC, nothing at all.

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
Repspectfully, Tony

Sometimes a small ground wire will break off the battery and cause the no power problem.
If you are satisfied with the battery wires then turn the key on and wiggle it all around. Get a meter and check to see if the switch is working. If that doesn’t work take a better look at the wires near the back of the tank, sometimes they wear through on the frame.
The connector on the EHC is probably ok since this problem just appeared out of no-where, but if your there anyway look at the pins and make sure they are straight.

Im at a total loss...Ive tried everything. In another post called part 3, I added a pic of a wire that Im not sure where its suppose to go. Its grounded to the frame with two other wires. Those two wires are connected to the EHC. Not sure if this one was cut or broke off. I cant seem to find where it might go.
