Alright thanks! I have rode in the midwest all my life so winter storage is 2nd nature, though always reluctant to do so just in case of the warm 40 deg+ winter day. Of course have to do the Jan 1 ride .... ya know bikelore for good luck for the next season! I will repeat the 10,000 service then. Of course that's just for warranty stuff and you are probably out of that so no problem doing it before or after winter. I would look up some of the threads though on winter storage if your bike will be put up for a while.

:angry: That's why I won't bring mine back out until there's been several good hard rains to wash the roads off in the Spring. Winter sucks!!!
Ewww your near Chicago! Yeah they use more damn salt then any place I have ever seen. Roads around there are nasty in the winter, spring ..... well and then there is the construction in the summer and fall.
